Uniting People with christ - together

Our Mission:

Christ gave Christians the mission to spread the gospel.  We were told to do that in partnership with one another. SCBA's mission is to connect churches, promote fellowship, and to help one another in our divinely appointed mission of spreading the Word of Jesus Christ locally and globally.

Bible Verse of the week

Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another, and be compassionate and humble, not paying back evil for evil or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing, since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.
- 1 Peter 3:8-9 CSB

Happenings:

Missions Fair 2025
SCBA held it's annual Mission Fair on March 30, 2025 at West Plains First Baptist Church. While the
attendance was low due to the risk of severe weather in the area, a lot of great information was shared
with those who braved the rain. Brother Travis Webb from the State Convention was our guest speaker
and local guests as well as other State Convention departments were on site to share about their ministries.

159th SCBA Annual Meeting
SCBA members and guests had a great time at the 159th Annual Meeting on October 13, 2024. A total of 57 messengers and 33 guests were present for a total of 90 attendees representing 17 SCBA Churches. The evening began with a wonderful message on "A Sacrificial Life" by Jon Reed, Lifeway Church Solutions Partner and beautiful Worship music led by Jalen Andrews, Associate Pastor of Thayer FBC. The keynote was followed by a delicious dinner catered by Roscoe T's BBQ and several breakout sessions on a variety of topics. The evening concluded with our annual business meeting. Thank you to all who had a part in planning this wonderful event!

Youth Camp 2024
SCBA youth joined youth from Reynolds, Cane Creek Stoddard, and Southeast Missouri Baptist Associations
for a joint Youth Camp July 15-19. 100+ youth were in attendance, 11 of those being from SCBA. Messages
were brought daily by Pastor Luke Hockenjos of Haughton, Louisiana with worship led by WeRCalled. The youth also participated in daily mission projects and recreation time lead by Sports Crusaders. Special thanks
to Kacey Pierce and Nici Brotherton who served two weeks back to back at camp and Bro. Kurt McKinney
who stepped in to help us as a boys cabin leader this year. What a wonderful week it was!
We can't wait to see what next year has in store.

Children's Camp 2024
The SCBA Children's Camp was held July 8-12, 2024. 37 kids and 12 adults were in attendance for a
total count of 49. What a blessing it was to see these kids learning about, worshiping and loving God
while building new friendships and growing old ones. Daily messages were brought by Brother
Eric Brotherton of Immanuel Baptist Church with worship led by David Baldridge and family of
FBC Van Buren. The kids also participated in Bible Study lead by Mary Kellum, Mission Studies

Thank you to all of our volunteers. We couldn't do this without you!
